Design Team Organizational Chart
The DMA Design Team revolves
around the project architect. All communication from the engineer comes
to the project architect and then out to the owner. All communication
between the owner and the project team comes through the project architect.
The architect's production and administrative staff members work is
directed by the project architect.
All portions of a project
are directed by licensed principals of the involved firms. This design
organization ensures the owner effective production time and resources
to ensure the project is designed correctly, managed properly, produced
timely, and remains in budget.

Technical Expertise
Cost control of design is
a component of the design process that the DMA team works with on an
equal basis with other design concepts. During the design process we
develop a detailed cost breakdown of the project. We use the same detail
that a contractor would work with when starting a project. We pursue
pricing from contractors during the design phase. We have a tracked
record which we can document on public and private projects where our
cost control system works. We provide designs with detailed billing
schedules which bring our projects within budget.
Construction administration is an area where the DMA team has proven
success. We take a team approach to the construction process. There
are three team members, the owner, the contractor, and the architect.
Each one of them is required to be responsible for their part of the
project. The end result is that the owner should receive the work contracted
for, no more - no less. If mistakes are made each team member takes
responsibility for their part.
